The School of Electronic Engineering (SEE) was formed by the merger of Electronic Engineering and Microwave Telecommunication Engineering Departments. It has two primary specialties, Electronic Information Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. The School has a tradition of excellence in both teaching and research. The School has about 250 staff; including one member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 30 Ph.D. supervisors, 50 professors, 60 associate professors and senior engineers. There are about 100 young staff with master's and doctoral degrees. Currently, the SEE enrolls over 3,700 students including 2,500 undergraduate students, 1000 post-graduate students and 200 doctoral candidates.
